On May 8, 2023, the European Commission issued a revised directive (EU) 2023/923 in the official gazette, and revised the restriction requirements for lead and its compounds in item 63 of Annex 17 of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, adding new restrictions on PVC materials.

The revised regulations will come into effect on the 20th day from the date of promulgation: the revised directive will come into effect on May 28, 2023.
